Citizen Scientists Needed for Water Quality Monitoring in Poudre Watershed
The Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW) is recruiting 3-4 new citizen scientist volunteers to help collect water quality samples at sites throughout the Upper Poudre Watershed.
What? Volunteers are needed to commit to water quality sampling once per month from June-October. It is a full day of sampling (6-8 hours). Volunteers will go out as a team of 2-3 to collect water quality samples at CPRW's post-fire restoration sites and sites in the North Fork of the Poudre Watershed. Volunteers will drive their personal vehicles. Mileage reimbursement is available at the federal volunteer rate.
When? The CitSci volunteer training will be held in mid-late June (date TBD) to orient you to the sampling locations, safety and procedures. Sampling begins after training in June 2023.
Depending on your availability, there is flexibility to sample during the week or over the weekends.
Please email Cory Dick, Watershed Project Manager, at cory@poudrewatershed.org by June 13 if you are available and interested in becoming a Citizen Scientist with CPRW. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us!
