Vision
A healthy and resilient Cache La Poudre RIVER Watershed
Mission
To improve and maintain the ecological health of the Poudre River watershed through community collaboration
How We Work
CPRW partners with landowners, government agencies, water utilities, and non-profits to collaboratively address some of the most challenging issues facing our watershed. Together, we identify the biggest problems, use science and expert input to prioritize where our projects will have the most impact and then together, we implement actions on the ground that will protect our rivers, communities, and water supply.
Our Values
Because we genuinely care and feel responsibility for the stewardship of the Poudre River Watershed for present and future generations, we espouse the following values:
Collaboration: We find innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing our watershed. We value collaboration because we believe it is the best tool for stakeholders to openly express their knowledge and concerns and work together to find a mutually beneficial solution.
Science-based approach: We rely on the best available science as the strongest foundation for making informed decisions in the face of uncertainties.
Inclusiveness: As a coalition, CPRW includes the viewpoints, knowledge, and beliefs of a range of stakeholders. From our board, committees, and volunteers, to our everyday interactions with individuals, we listen, learn, and give a seat at the table to all who rely on the Poudre Watershed.
Transparency: We are committed to making our decisions and procedures accessible. By remaining transparent in our actions and decisions we achieve accountability to our stakeholders, donors, staff, partners, and the public.
Sustainability: We find solutions that provide tangible, measurable, lasting results for the health and resiliency of our watershed.
