New Belgium Brewing Co. Awarded 2024 "Dick Jefferies Partner for the Poudre Award"
To recognize our great partners and their contributions to the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW) and the Poudre River, CPRW established the "Dick Jefferies Partner for the Poudre Award" in 2022. This award is named after CPRW’s founder, Board Chair, and watershed champion, Dick Jefferies. In April 2022, Dick passed away after a battle with cancer.
This year, we are excited to honor New Belgium Brewing Co. with the award for their more than 10 years of support of CPRW’s programs and projects. New Belgium has been a donor to CPRW since before we were even an official 501(c)3 non-profit, beginning after the High Park Fire of 2012 when we were known as the High Park Restoration Coalition. They have always recognized the importance of protecting an conserving the Poudre River - for the health of their business and our community. Over the years New Belgium has made generous donations to our programs and projects that help improve and maintain the health of the Cache la Poudre River Watershed. They have also donated many beers to our events and allowed us to host the Poudre RiverFest at the brewery since 2017. This is a company that truly walks the talk when it comes to corporate responsibility and sustainability. We can’t thank New Belgium enough for their continued generosity!
“NBB has supported CPRW’s work for the last 10+ years. From our humble beginnings of forest restoration work at the Scout Ranch to the Poudre RiverFest & supporting us as an annual Partner for the Poudre - NBB is a company that truly values their nonprofit partners in this community. Our work would not be possible without partners like New Belgium.” - Hally Strevey, CPRW Executive Director
