Featured Project: “Reach 13” Phase 2 Design Project
CPRW has been awarded funding from the Bureau of Reclamation WaterSMART Cooperative Watershed Management Program to continue design work on one of our priority reaches as identified in the Lower Poudre Master Plan. Together with our steering committee, we have selected “Reach 13” to move forward with a 30% design from its concept plan.
PROJECT GOALS & BENEFITS
Build successful and effective community, landowner and stakeholder relationships to enable watershed restoration planning
Complete at least 30% design for Reach 13 in the Lower Poudre River corridor to facilitate and secure design-build funding
Use the Reach 13 design and subsequent implementation projects as a template to demonstrate proof of concept to prospective partners and funders in other reaches in Weld County with similar challenges and opportunities
Improve floodplain connection and aquatic habitat
