Wild & Scenic Poudre River Celebration

CPRW, Wildlands Restoration Volunteers, US Forest Service, and The Mishawaka are partnering to celebrate the Poudre River (Colorado's only Wild & Scenic River) and the 50th Anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act on Sunday, September 16

In observation of the signing of the act that preserves the Cache la Poudre and other rivers in the U.S. “in a free-flowing condition for the enjoyment of present and future generations” the Mishawaka will present a day of river education, preservation, restoration and celebration in partnership with the Coalition for the Poudre Watershed (CPRW), U.S. Forest Service Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, and Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV). 

Your ticket includes one Odell beer, light appetizers, live music, films, fly fishing lessons & a chance to meet other Poudre River fans! A discounted ticket & shuttle package to The Mishawaka is also available. 

***Parking at The Mishawaka is FREE for this event!***

Day of Schedule:

  • 10am-1pm: Volunteer projects in the Wild & Scenic Corridor!

  • 12:45pm: First shuttle leaves Fort Collins to The Mishawaka

  • 1pm: Doors open at The Mishawaka!

  • 1:30-3:30pm: Beer, snacks, fly fishing lessons with Rocky Mountain Flycasters, and Wild & Scenic river films

  • 4:00pm: Live music from Ginger Whale

  • 5:30pm: Live music from The Movers & Shakers

  • 6:30pm: Celebration concludes & shuttles leave the Mishawaka

Event proceeds will benefit two critical restoration projects in the watershed including wildfire mitigation along Elkhorn Creek, a tributary to the Poudre, and volunteer support for the completion of the Young Gulch Trail restoration.
