Voices from the Poudre: Amy Williams

Amy and Todd Williams

The Cameron Peak fire burned through every parcel of land that we lease for our grass-fed beef business.  As a resident in the burn scar and a land steward I can say, without a doubt, that I never imagined we’d be this far along one year into post fire recovery.

A ponderosa pine seedling in its new home.

Hands down working with CPRW has been the most impactful way to move us forward so quickly.  You are small in staff yet SO mighty in outreach.  Because of your ability to help partner us with key players, we've been able to address land erosion issues in creative ways.  You've empowered our community to take action on restoration; you were the link that resulted in planting thousands of seedling trees (with The Nature Conservancy); and now, together with other agencies, we’re embarking on a forest health project to help revitalize unburned private land in the watershed.

Thank you CPRW -- you walk your talk!  You’re making a real difference for the health and recovery of this remarkable landscape that is loved by so many.

With Gratitude,

Amy
